Who We Are


The Colby Convention and Visitors Bureau is a quasi department of the City of Colby managed by and co-located with the Colby/Thomas County Chamber of Commerce.

Mission Statement: Convention and tourism promotion through marketing activities which attract visitors to Colby encouraging increased lodging facility occupancy and economic development for the community.

The Board members are represented by six lodging facilities and 4 businesses and appointed by the Mayor. The advisory board meets monthly. The Bureau is financed by a 3% guest tax. The annual budget is approved by the Colby City Council.
