Colby Convention & Visitors Bureau
The Colby Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is a quasi-department of the City of Colby managed by and located within the Colby/Thomas County Chamber of Commerce office.
Mission Statement: Convention and tourism promotion through marketing activities which attract visitors to Colby encouraging increased lodging facility occupancy and economic development for the community.
The board members are represented by six lodging facilities and four businesses and appointed by the mayor. The advisory board meets monthly. The CVB is financed by the 5% guest tax. The annual budget is approved by the Colby City Council.

The Colby Visitors Center is located on I-70 at the Exit 53 interchange. This unique building incorporates traditional Kansas limestone with a contemporary design that includes a real grain bin recognizing the importance of grain and agriculture to our area. Travelers are invited to stop by and visit with the friendly staff, enjoy a cup of coffee, check the weather, peruse the wealth of Kansas travel brochures, and learn more about the history of Colby.
